Hi Helen,
Don't need to resize. 800 pix on the long side is advised here
I think it is a good picture, to bad about the lower right corner. Maybe the blown out highlights could be cropped out. And the excessive use of watermarks is a bit annoying IMO.
Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

I have to agree with Martin - the copyright watermark ruins the photo. One small copyright in the corner if you must but as it is now it is hard to see exactly what the photo is!

I think water-marking photos that are only 800 pixels long is a waste of time. If somebody is going to pinch such a picture, he's not going to make a fortune from it, and nor are you likely to lose anything in the process.

You don't have to apologize And don't let our comments withhold you from posting in the future.. But......, the ''Your Photos'' section is often used for C&C. If asked for by the OP. To learn and find out other possibilities in approaching a photo. Heavy watermarking makes it difficult to proper judge a photo. And as George said: The low resolution used here makes it not worthwhile to snatch your picture for print.
Hope to see a lot more of your work.
Martin

You can watermark a photo far more discretely than you have done here - once is enough, across a small part of the photo. As George says at 800pixels wide the photo is not going to be reproduceable to any high degree. Have a look at simonkit's photos for how you could watermark if you really feel the need to so.

So it's the viewers' fault?

By posting a picture, you are inviting comments. Accept them graciously, or next time you might not get any.
