I have purchased the K200 with the kit lens 18 55m SMC Penax DA. I also have an older lens SMC Pentax FA 28 - 80 (not digital size) I am wondering if this older lens is a better quality lens than the kit lens that came with camera?
If it's the f/4 version, I have the same one and it's not in the same league as the Kit Lens. It might be that I have a bad copy because it used to do well in tests, but they are only done at 2-3m, it's at about 20m that mine looks very soft..... unusable at the edge and corner.I have purchased the K200 with the kit lens 18 55m SMC Penax DA. Your other lens the 80-320mm is very sharp on digital.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
