K5 cashback offer - anyone else had problems ?

Evenin all so I bought my K5 - filled in the claim form , gave them ny bank details exactly as requested (bank account I've held since adam was a lad), popped in my receipt and sent it off to Pentax recorded so I had proof of delivery. heard nothing from then since sending it off before Christmas and , to be honest, not checked for the money arriving in my account. Get home tonight to a letter stating that they have been unable to process my claim as, despite having tried to contact me previously (oh no you ****ing haven't you lying ********) they still require the following: Then there's a X in the box labelled incorrect or incomplete bank details provided - B*ll*cks - I gave exactly what was asked for on the form and as previously stated I've had the account yonks - info copied directly over from statement and double checked and treble checked. Also a X in the box labeled : Proof of purchase not provided - oh yes it ****ing was. Has anyone else had any problems with this ? thanks as you will have gathered this has left me fuming - not least due all the lies. Left a real, real bad Pentax taste in the mouth that has

I am beginning to get fed up. I bought a K5 with lens from Amazon and received back on 30 May and immediately sent off my claim for the £80 cashback by recorded delivery. I had a call on 23 June saying I hadn't provided all necessary info, as had sent a copy of order statement from Amazon and not the printout of dispatch email that Amazon send when the item is posted out. I was a bit frustrated by this as this is no stronger evidence of the purchase than the order statement, but nevertheless promptly sent this by recorded delivery the next working day. I was assured that as soon as this had arrived the £80 would be credited to my account. Two weeks have now elapsed and the £80 has not arrived, so I called the Pentax cashback number again (08447702206) as it gets answered on weekends. I was told my form was showing as incomplete, so I mustn't have included some info, but person could not say what. I explained I'd had a call to this effect 2 weeks ago and had provided the extra info, so why the further delay with no-one contacting me? I have been promised an email and a callback tomorrow to resolve. Unfortunately, when it seems such a hassle to get cashback it take the edge of the Pentax brand and makes me worried about whether the offer will be honoured. Ultimately this damages Pentax's reputation and makes me less likely to loyal to the brand in the future. Is anyone else having hassle? I wish they had an email address to contact, rather than having to call an expensive telephone number... Cheers, Richard

Hope you get it sorted as I did Ricahrd.

Think Pentax should look at using someone else in future as,a s you say, it does not reflect well on Pentax - have had similar promotion with something Canon I bought and that went perfectly smoothly 1st time - that's how it should and needs to work.

It really isn't necessary to post your complaint in every topic related to Pentax cash back. Especially not the identical posting in each topic.

An order statement means nothing from Amazon, you could place the order, wait for the statement and then cancel it straight away .. at least with the dispatch email Pentax know you have the camera coming.
