I purchase all my spare batteries from e-bay, I just google the battery I need and go for the one that is a good price. I have 8 for my K10-D, 4 for my K-5, 4 for my K-3 and I have never had any problems with either the batteries or the cameras.
I know some people like to use Pentax batteries but why pay £50 plus when you can get 2 for £10.99.

Because there's no excuse for falling down on a job. So, when shooting a wedding for example, one Pentax battery can last all day and did so just a week or so back. We never have any problems with batteries.

I have never had any issues with 3rd party batteries, regardless of system.
I always carry a few spares just in case, but none have ever let me down, and if shooting weddings or critical jobs, surely spares are a given.

I've never had any problems with any of the third party batteries I use even when using them all day, and because of the low cost I have plenty in reserve any way to cover any problems should they arise.

I have one Pentax and one Maxsima here in front of me, both weigh exactly 77 grammes, and look to be identical, the cynic in me says they are one and the same.

If anything, my Maxsimafoto lasts longer than the Pentax original.
