I was wondering why the K5 battery has three terminals, It has +, - and T. Anyone know?

It's been on the forum before. The T is for the temperature sensor (thermistor) in the battery. The charger "sees" the battery temperature under charge.

Interesting - I don't notice lipos getting warm under charge in the same way that NiMh or NiCad cells did. Given the nominal voltage of most LiPo cells is 3.7V, that means our 7.4V packs are 2-cell arrangements. I'd have thought the third terminal was to allow balance charging of the two cells?

I don't know what other uses these battery cases have but there are an additional two "potential" cutouts on the casing giving a total of 5 "terminals"?
