K5 - Something Loose or Normal Behaviour?

Hi,

I've noticed that something is moving (loose) inside my K5 (bought last Thursday) I can't see anything, but if I move the camera from side to side I can hear and feel the movement. Its not the battery or the lens and I can't see any obvious movement in the mirror assembly. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

It's the sensor. It floats so that it can then move for Shake Reduction. If it were fixed SR would be impossible.

Thanks for all the replies - got the same from PentaxForums.

I am somewhat relieved (gross understatement).

Now back to Xmas.

Happy Xmas to you all.

Was wondering the exact same thing when I bought mine. Took it to SRS to make sure it was just that and not a damaged camera
