K5 - replacement battery and lcd protectors

Hello all

Got the K5 today now I just need a spare battery and some lcd protectors.

Any advice on wher to obtain these from for a decent ones:

Stuey, I would go for generic ones from Amazon, others seem to think they are just as good as the Pentax batteries. I have a Hahnel spare battery and cannot tell the difference between this and the Pentax one.

Mine for my K5 bought in May is a cheap Mobilizers 2000mA. No discernable difference. Long battery life anyway on the K5, especially when mainly using the top panel.

Just watch out for ones the right size but lower output than the Pentax badged one. I too used Hahnel from SRS with my KR, again worked perfectly.

I don't use screen protectors. I do keep my camera in a hoster case or my Lowepro Slingshot when not in use.

I bought one of these link for the rear screen, had one on my GX10 from new and there is no signs of any marking at all after five years, Not cheap but well worth the cost!.

I have just ordered these link You get one for each screen. As for batteries I just ordered 2 for a tenner off of fleabay.

We have GGS glass screen protectors on K10D & K-x & they are fantastic & only c. £5 - were recommended by many in here at the time.

Me too, think I paid less than that off ebay too!

I'm a bit more skint now but a new battery, ggs protector, top plate protector and 16gb card on the way
