Hi

I don't either camera, but I know many people here have asked for tethering. Having a glance on Pentax' facebook forum I noticed a post stating that it is a feature in the cameras, just not put into use buy Pentax ... for whatever reason?!

Apparently, some Polish guy have written a small program that taps into the feature, and user reports indicate that the program works. If you choose to try it out and something goes wrong don't blame me! I have no first hand experience at all! On the other hand, if it works i think it might put pressure on Pentax to provide a proper solution.

Program here.

Edit: Post title turned out a bit weird, but heck, you read it all, anyway ?!

Interesting, but seems to have still to many bugs. I am with you on that if the feature exist already then Pentax should get their act together and bring out an update that includes this feature.
Kind regards

I've tried it on the K5 and it works, he has subsequently update the software but advised that he was going on holiday and would only make further progress on his return
