K-5 to ipad you need a cheap chinese sd / usb camera kit, this will import jpegs and raw
Unless you use itunes you can use dropbox or skydrive etc for transferring images between ipad and pc and vice versa.

I use the Apple camera adapter (there are two in the packet, on for SD cards and the other for USB) but I'm sure cabstar's one will do the job just as well. I find Dropbox preferable to iTunes, a little more versatile.

Another vote for Dropbox, very handy
