Take it there's no way of user adjusting level on a K10?

I bought it second hand a while back and it always seems to have had the sensor misaligned slightly, so horizon, buildings etc are contantly slightly off line.

Any recommended apps for adjusting pics etc?

Thanks in advance, very frustrating.

I think this is a result of the sensor "floating" rather than being fixed. The only practical way to deal with it is using software to correct the horizon. You could try and work out by how many degrees it's out - but that may not be the same each time you use it.

I do wonder if that is the reason so many electronic levels on the K-5 are also out?

A lot of the K10D were out as well.

There were quite a few posts about it at one time.

If you're handy with a screwdriver, here's a link to the K10D service manual. http://www.pentax-hack.info/firmware/k10_gx10/k10d_sm.zip

Good luck, and don't blame me

(Hopefully) final update on K5 level adjustment - SRS arranged pick up on 2 Feb and it arrived back with me on the 16th, so two week turnaround. Level indicators are now spot on. Only concern was the packing it came back in, a lightweight box only 2cm wider than the camera the way it was packed, and just 2 layers of small size bubble wrap protecting the camera. Box was badly dented up full length of one side to the extent that I took photos before I opened it, fearing the worst. Dent was above location of camera, fortunately, and it seems ok, but I'll be checking it carefully over the weekend. Not what I would consider a secure way to post a £700 camera body. I sent it to them double boxed and double padded with wrap and loose fill. Someone at SRS could learn a thing or two about secure packing from the forum members I've bought from before, I think! Shame, cos otherwise their service was absolutely spot on.

I must be lucky. Got my new K-5 yesterday and guess what? The level is spot-on accurate!

It may be interesting to see how many others have an accurate level in their K-5, rather than seeing how many have an inaccurate one.

Near enough, as makes no odds.

1 green bit on the right; 2 green arrows, fluctuating to 1 yellow bit high.

Test conducted on a smooth level table & turning the camera through 180 deg.

There doesn't appear to be many natural horizontals/verticals around here, so I don't think anyone will notice. If they do, I don't really care
