K3 picking up wrong lens details in metadata

I have a K3 and use mostly Sigma lenses.
When I shoot with the 24-70 it records it as my 70-200 lens in the metadata via adobe bridge etc.,
its ok with my pentax lens and also with the Sigma 18-35mm
any ideas?

Pentax do not guarantee correct reporting of the info with other manufacturers' lenses. In the case of Sigma it's been understood that they "reverse engineer" their Pentax fit lenses rather than getting the info from Pentax, so old lenses may not report correctly to newer bodies. It's possible Sigma might be able to re-chip your lenses where needed.

it's only the one lens that is the problem.
