K3 part exchange deal.

Does any one know if the camera has to be working.The one I was going to take in my daughter has pinched of me to replace the one she has just dropped. I do not want to trade in my K5 has I am going to keep it has aback up. I can not see any thing on the Pentax website or adverts that it has to be working.

Phone up the dealer, tell them what you've got and see what they say. From other threads here it seems not all dealers do the same thing. I don't think a forum member here can answer for a dealer really, unless they are that dealer!

It is the £85 Pentax trade in offer I am talking about not a dealer offer.

SRS say they will take anything, functional or not - and they are offering £100 rather than £85 in many other places.

Try SRS, who are offering at least £100 rather than the £85 mentioned.

Thanks everyone. I will ring the stockist near me up tomorrow has they have the body in stock according to there website. I have been told by SRS they have none till near the end of the month.

How long is part exchange deal on for ?

According to the PU news item just on the right of screen, till 31st December 2013.

Sorry it is the cash back on other camera's that is till the 14th January.

Just been and traded in a non working camera and now proud owner of a K3. Just got to try it out now.
