I have just taken the delivery of a lithium battery, which I will have as a 'spare'. It is a Delkin 7.4V and 1500mAh, whereas the original Pentax D-L150 is also 7.4V but 1620 mAh. Does this difference matter?

All it means it will not last quite as long in use as the Pentax 1620mAh one.
Can not comment on the Delkin make.

tomkeet: Have already looked it up... right you are. As it is a 'spare' with lower 'life', it does not matter all that much if it is of lower value.

My "spare" is 1500mAh (Hahnel branded) and I can't say I've ever noticed an appreciable difference between it and the original when it comes to time between charges. But then I've never actually measured it in a scientific fashion.

what a relief hefty1... Happy with the thought that I was not sold a 'dud'...
