most of the universal battery chargers have a car adapter. i got one for my K10, it was an irish company, cannot remember the name just now. It was basically a US style pin with adapters for most countries plus a car adapter. Works very well. I will try and find the name and post it here.

I keep a 12v - 240v inverter in my passion wagon.
You can run all your low power household equipment - laptops, chargers lights etc. Never looked back

It seems that one of the better after market batteries is the one from Inov8
The also make a charger with car adapter - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Replacement-Digital-Battery-Charger-Minolta/dp/B002GKBUZ...=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1268128362&sr=8-2
I did ask SRS if they stock that kit but they do not - just battery and charger seperate. Considering it is £28 for battery and charger it is a good deal. The charger alone that Tim linked to is £14 and a good battery £20 or the Inov8 charger £25.

Asda did a Vivitar universal li-ion charger for camera and phone batteries. I've seen them by other manufacturers too.
You adjust (poke) the contacts to fit the -ve and +ve on the battery. it checks the voltage and polarity and charges. 12v/24v and mains adapter.
I charge camera batteries and phone ones too.
Put "vivitar universal li-ion battery charger" into google then have a sniff at ASDA for £20.
Cheers
