K20D - Lens focus adjustment

Does anybody here have a K20D and a number of non-Pentax AF lenses?

I have only Pentax and Sigma lenses. I'm interested to know if the focus adjustment for non-Pentax lenses is stored on a per lens basis.

I ask because I regularly use my Sigma 70-300mm APO, 135-400mm APO, and 180mm EX DG Macro lenses, but Lightroom reports these lenses simply as "Sigma", without the detail to identify each lens. EG: If I were to take images with all three lenses set at 180mm, in Lightroom, I can't tell which lens was used from the EXIF info.

This may simply be a Sigma/Lightroom issue, but if the data required to differentiate between Sigma lenses is missing, can the K20D recognise the difference and store focus adjustment settings accordingly?

Because Sigma lenses are reverse-engineered (Sigma don't pay the required royalties to Pentax to get the technical info) then communication between new Pentax bodies and older Sigma lenses cannot be guaranteed. Sometimes Sigma re-chip lenses to update them.

The chip used by Sigma in it's lens seems to be kind of generic. I have two Sigma lenses that are recognized as the same, and a third one is not that gives only f-stop and focal length in the EXIF.

If you look at your pictures EXIF, you'll know if the camera recognizes the lens. If it does, the lens name will appear. If it doesn't recognizes the lens, only the focal length will show. If the lattaer is the case, it will apply the correction you put in for that lens to any other lens that will not be specifically recognized. If you have only one lens that is not recognized, you won't have any problems, but if you have two, and one of them needs - compensation and the other one needs + compensation, then you're in trouble.

Looking at the EXIF data of an image taken with the 180mm EX DG IF Macro using PhotoMe, I get:-
Lens ID 3 + 0 + 0
Pentax Lens Type - F, FA or DA
Lens Names (of the ID) - Sigma (Model Unknown)

So I guess the K20D is not going to solve my problem where the Sigma lenses are concerned, only the Pentax Lenses.
