K200D blurred shots

I have begun to notice that I am getting blurred shots when taking photos on my K200D with the shake reduction turned on. The photos seem fine when the SR is turned off, and the autofocus seems fine through the viewfinder. Is this a problem that anyone else has noticed, and if so can it be fixed?

many thanks,

Richard

Are you hand holding?

For tripods/supported shots you're supposed to turn the SR off.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

Yes, I am hand holding. I always have the SR off on the tripod. If I can work out how I will post a couple of examples.

Sorry John - I think I am being dim but I can't find a "Your Photos" section. I did try My Portfolio, but it only let me upload one shot.

I will try to link to my Flikr account, and see if that works:

These are a couple of close crops from the shots above. It seems there is some vertical movement of the sensor.

Hrm that really doesn't look promising. I'm not a camera repair person but if I had to guess I'd say you have a malfunction in your SR mechanism.

I agree with Tim, doesn't look good. Looks like a sure repair job.

Thanks for the replies. The Firmware is 1.01, which I have just updated to but it made no difference. I have just tried shooting on long exposure times, and I can hear the sensor moving back and forward while the shutter is open. It look like a repair will be required!

Can anyone recommend a reliable repairer???

Thanks,

Richard

Looks like the SR movement is only working vertically and not horizontally......repair job I'm afraid!..

How long have you had it and where did you buy it from!...a warranty repair could be possible!

I think this is the recommended Pentax repairer. link.

If you add your Location someone might be able to point you to a local repairer

I regret warranty repair is not possible. I bought it in Singapore in Jun 08, so it is long out of warranty. I have just updated my location, but Portsmouth would also be an option for repair.

You could always enquire at London Camera exchange in Plymouth...the manager in there was always pretty helpful!...
