Probably the focusing selector has been shifted to AF. If you set it to M all should be well.

Just to be clear we are talking about the position of the AF-S, AF-C, M lever on the camera and not setting the mode dial to M for manual exposure?
When manual focusing lenses are fitted to the K10D and the camera is set to AF then it will only fire if the lens is in focus, as indicated by the green symbol in the viewfinder. This can cause the impression that the camera is not firing, but in reality the point of focus may just be slightly off.

or the lens is perfectly focused, but the subject is off centre so the centre focus point can't see it.
Since you say it was working before this seems unlikely, but it sounds as if the custom function which allows the use of the aperture ring is set to "disable". Worth a check?

This is the only reason the "f" will blink...Since you say it was working before this seems unlikely, but it sounds as if the custom function which allows the use of the aperture ring is set to "disable". Worth a check?
Unless you have a manual focus "A" series lens and it was on the "A" position, but now is not.

It worked fine apart from the wrong exposure easyly corrected.
But since tuesday, there is a big problem.
Whenever a manual lens is mounted and the M position selected...the K10D refuses to shoot as "f" is blinking...
where is the catch?
Thanks
