This is extraordinary. At £599, it undercuts buying from America.

Yup, sure does, my order is in

Did you browse the lenses George, brand new, last batch od the superb SMC-A 50 f1.2 @ £319, very, very tempting but three weeks too early for me.
Cheers

Well i don't know about the rest of you but i'm truly stunned by that

Obviously we have to wait until the body is actually in our hands for that price to be sure - but at under £600 for the body that's seriously undercutting the competition (especially with SR built in and all the other great features!)

Me too Dex, thought we were going to get ripped of again, but as somebody else mentioned elswhere maybe someone at Pentax UK/Germany grew a brain. Now all they need to do is promote it and meet demand which I expect to be considerable.
Cheers

I'm looking at the 12-24 or 16-45 mm options....

Or should I wait for the DA* lenses?

The mythical K1-D

Or stick with the Z-1, Z-1p, MZ-S, *ist D and DL...

Yum Yum

That is an amazing price, although to be competitive, Pentax had to pitch it close to the Nikon D80 and Canon 400D
