The feedback looks good and is this the cheapest I've seen the camera ever advertised?

ebay item number - 250125829092

I didn't read any of the fine print but it might be worth it for someone looking for a k10d.

Postage is offered only to the USA.

By the time you have factored in VAT, duty, shipping, customs clearance charges, and so on, you won't be much better off than if you had bought one from Park Cameras for £529.00

this is basically the conclusion I have come to every time I have looked into importing stuff from the US.

Unless you're actually there on holiday to pick it up in person, it's not worth the hassle.
you don't have to be mad to post here

but it does help

My wife is in Singapore in week or so and I'm currently trying to persuade here that I really need a K10D as it can be had there fore about £400. I've already persuaded her to pick me up a 16-45 F4 for £170...

Just seen on SRS Microsystems, K10D body only £449. Lots of other good prices on there too.

If I were Chris, I'd be on here like a shot telling us!

Got the K100D Super listed at £399 too.

Just received mine from these people.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-PENTAX-K10D-10MP-DIGITAL-CAMERA-18-55mm-Lens-2GB_W0QQi...

Stock is held in Nottingham UK,so no Customs worries, still took 4 days to arrive. Price inc P&P, 18 - 55mm lens and 2Gb SD card was £506.94. I believe this to be a US version as it came with a US plug on the charger lead and an adapter to 13A UK plug and an international warranty. I was worried in case it was a refurb, but looks new to me and is advertised as new.

When you say "adaptor" do you mean transformer or just plug adaptor? If the latter, with the different voltage (US 110v), it probably won't do the batteries much good!

Not so. The battery charger uses switch mode technology and works from a wide range of input voltages
Fortunately it uses a standard "figure-8" connector which you can buy more or less anywhere.

Most modern switched mode chargers, including the Pentax charger for the K10D, are universal and can handle input voltages from 100 - 250v.

The buyer has had it since June anyway so I guess he's probably taken a few thousand shots and discovered any issues by now.

EDIT: Matt got in first . . again.
