Lowepro do a lot of different ones like a range called the Rezo, or the Toploader range. Or you could try (dare I say it) a Nikon or Canon bag....

I've got a lowepro rezo .... sumpink... can't remember the name now. It's on another thread here about bags.
The lowepro takes my 50-200 lens with room to spare. i takes my 18-55 with the lens hood on.
I use it when mountain biking.

I have a couple of Lowepro Toploaders, the small one and the long nosed one (can't remember the names). Both are great bags, keep my camera snug and dry in the nastiest conditions. They aren't completely waterproof I don't think, but I've never had one leak yet since any conditions bad enough to get through the bag are easily bad enough to make me seak shelter!
The long nosed bag holds my entire "walking around" kit, that is K10D, 18-55 and 50-200, with room to spare. The small one holds either one of the above lenses happily, not sure how the 16-50 compares to them for size though.

Thanks for the information. I also had a look at the other thread about cases and after a lot of research on the internet, I have ordered a Kata KT H-10. They appear to be very tough on the outside and very soft on the inside.

Kata KT H-10 case has now arrived. It is a very good fit for the K10D.

Hi,
I'm also looking at a Kata bag for my K10D as a compact substitute for the O-CC55. I need it to fit the K10D plus grip and (hopefully sometime when they get around to producing some more...) a DA* 16-50 lens.
I only really need it to replace the plastic bag I currently use to protect it...so was looking at the H-10, H-12 or H-14.
Since I can't currently find anywhere local to try one out, do you think this lot will fit in the H-10, or will the addition of the grip make it a bit too wide to fit in comfortably?
Andy.

The photograph below shows my K10D in a Kata H-10.
The photograph was taken with the kit lens attached to the body (prior to the arrival of the DA* lenses).
However the K10D does fit in the case with my DA* 16-50 lens attached, complete with the lens hood on (reversed).
There is no spare space with this combination, but the H-12 and H-14 are of course bigger.
The Kata website is not too bad, but I agree that it would be better to be able to see all three cases 'in the flesh'.

Hi Hyram,
Thanks for your quick reply.
Your camera does indeed look quite snug in its case! Looking at the holster options on the Kata site basically leads me to the H-14, since the H-12 appears to be even narrower internally than the H-10 (despite being wider externally).
I could, of course, remove the grip & store it in one of the side pockets, but that would kind of defeat the object of using it as an ever ready case replacement if I have to attach it each time I take the camera out!
Andy.
