Jacqui,

I'm sure you don't want to hear from me as the XXXX who beat you to Glovers k-x but as our household has both a K10D and now a k-x I thought I would back up people saying the k-x spec. probably seems to match your needs better.

My hubby would not swap his K10 for anything other than a K20 because he loves the weight in his hands and it is a perfect fit ergonomically - all the buttons lie just where his fingers naturally fall.

I fell in love with the k-x for exactly the same reason - for my hands which seem about half the size of his I never got on with the K10 just too big and heavy for me.

So, definately don't buy any body until you have played with it.

Personally, unless I was in a rush I wouldn't pay £359 for a k-x body, I would wait until 1. someone dropped their price to get rid of their final few, 2. another secondhand appeared here or on srs 3. the k-r is likely to drop in price over the next few months wait for that.

But you may be in a rush...

Hi, thanks for that, no problem, all's fair when buying cameras I think the size thing might apply to me as well. I have played around with the k-x in a shop and it did feel great. Also the low light capability would be great. I agree about not paying that price, I am going to keep holding on for a better deal than that. we will see what comes up, I'm sure I will find something. although I am pretty impatient

I think I've decided to get the k-x tomorrow for £379 for body and 18-55mm lens, can't wait any longer, too impatient Then I will sell the 18-55mm and buy a used 50-200mm because I never use the smaller zoom. does £379.99 seem a fair price? thanks.
