K10D - Memory card door faulty

Ok, to add to my woes this week have just taken a couple of pics, opened the memory door to take out the card and now it wont close.

Looks like the spring has gone ... anyone come accross this before?

That K10 is just plum worn out mate, its time to let it go

Didn't you pick up a K20 just recently:

I would not force it, but get it in for repair. May be something simple at the moment, forcing it can create more problems. Then again as stated earlier, might be a good excuse to upgrade.

I will never let it go, its only done just under 40,000 shots and is just getting broken in.

K20D seller backed out unfortunately .. timing would have been perfect

I even had the rear screen protector that I ordered for the K20D arrive from China today to protect the lcd

Dont need to force it, have just put some electrical tape on it which does the job fine. Maybe I should go buy some black though, red seems a bit bright

You could always spray the body to match!....could be a big job methinks.....I would just stick with the tape!..all the best!..Ken
