I have a K-1 mk1 and far as I can tell there is no 'Flash Off' setting in any menu, see attached image of the 'flash' page from the manual.

My K-50 is the same.

Hope this helps.

If you remove the camera battery, wait a few minutes and then re-insert it might reset the camera and solve the problem. I presume you can't get the camera to actually do anything? If you can, then a factory reset and/or firmware upgrade might do the trick.
Best regards, John

My K1is exactly the same. I've just assumed that's how it was meant to be. I don't reckon this is a fault, just a "quirk" in the software, deliberate IMO.
It does make life simpler when using a flash. Connect the flash and switch the flash on if you want to take a flash shot and then switch the flash off if you don't want a flash shot. Quick and easy, saves messing about in the camera menu.

No.
But just a suggestion, you haven't accidently locked the button have you. It's easily done and the first time I did I thought the button was jammed.
With regard to the flash, the flash on the K3 III is also on all the time although the symbol doesn't show

1.Check your settings are not locked.

2. There was an issue with early K-1's where the mode dial is locked on M mode.

I suspect this is your issue. Nothing to do with flash settings.
