That's a £100 less than Srs deal.
Great value.
Sadly, too soon for me.

For the sake of £100 I would far rather have two years warranty and the great service from SRS.

I thought all electrical goods had a minimum of 2 year warranty in UK through the sales of goods act?

2 years under EU law, 6 under UK. Applies to new and second-hand goods purchased in the UK, in store or on-line, so whether they like it or not, this applies to Amazon too!

The rule covers a fault that was present when you bought the item, or a defect that occurs from a manufacturing problem rather than as the result of usual wear and tear, which is why I'm amazed that no-one seems to have taken Ricoh/Pentax to task over SDM or aperture-block failures.

I have to admit, I’m sorely tempted to pick one up...

I don't understand K-1 prices, they're all over the place*. The K-1ii is less than the K-1 was last month, the K-1 Special Edition & grip was/is cheaper than a standard black one and separate grip. The prices seem to have been ping-ponging between 1.5 & 2K (25% difference). The dealers always claim they never make anything on cameras, so it must be Ricoh/Pentax changing the pricing. I was thinking about buying one, but won't be now, the cash has gone on P6x7 lenses instead.

* unless I've missed a cracking deal somewhere that lasted for more than 5 minutes.
