K-r review

I note that the reviewer complained of a tendency to underexpose and of highlight clipping. I would have thought this an unlikely combination of faults. I certainly have not noticed it with my K-r.

I have found the KR to be extremely sensitive and accurate in terms of exposure. I wonder what settings they used? In my experience the camera has to be set just right!
I agree- battery life isn't brilliant but that doesn't bother me,the camera makes up for it in so many other ways.
Dont know what pentax were thinking when they decided to leave out the remote socket on the KR/KX::

They say it underexposes, but clips highlights. Kind of a compatibility problem, there.:::

I looked through several reviews on there, and he makes the same complaint about nearly every ruddy camera! Have a look.

It's a funny old world as I find the reverse on my K-r which has a tendency to over-expose in good to bright day light and always dial in 1/3 stop minus exposure to compensate for this. In dull/overcast conditions exposure seems generally pretty good. May be dependant on in camera user settings I suppose and if I had more time on my hands I would change to Raw shooting, but until then I'm strictly an out the camera jpeg guy sadly.

It is looking like that my next camera will be a K-r instead of a K5. Just because it's more camera than I could ever want in a package, and that I cannot justify almost twice the price of a K-r just for the K5.

Now the REAL question is, which colour do I choose?

Black, Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, Pink?
