They're saving that for when they need serious market penetration.
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

I read a comment on another forum recently where someone was asking why Pentax named their new camera after Ken Rockwell!
Brilliant!

Very nice just look at the ISO12800 shot
Don't know if it's better than the K-X but it is impressive.

that infra red port....
I see some serious potential for that sucker....
if it works with the iphone......

when there's "An App for that" I hope it has remote shooting, with full control over settings, also with preview (not live obviously, but a jpeg still) and intervalometer, and ability to send jpegs to the net!

It has the last option, you can send scaled down photos to your phone and upload them to the net from there according the review.

I'm hoping for the Pentax remote software to pop up in the iTunes App store...
a touchscreen remote ap would freakin rock for studio use!

Don I'm actually hoping a bit more than that.
It would be great if you can also get flashguns with that, you can than "manage" your whole studio set-up from a computer or a device like a smartphone (or camera) if there is a program like that.

yeah. I've mentioned that before, but I think the speed and range of bluetooth would be better...
ir ports are slow... and limited in range especially in daylight/outdoor situations...
but an ir iphone ap and a wifi sd card could make for a decent studio set up...

Actually in my experience IR ports are usually considerably faster than Bluetooth (on mobile phones, anyway, they are around an order of magnitude faster). I suppose that might be different with the latest Bluetooth (2?) protocols, but I'm assuming that IR technology has also progressed.

I think the next pentax camera should be called the K-9 and the advertising could go something like "buy a pentax it's the dogs b####"

I'm happy with the K20 and will not be moving to a k-7 k-5 yet
