K-r focus screen

Not sure how it happened but over the weekend - the focus screen on my K-r became very badly gunked with 3 or 4 really very bad black marks on it - looks almost like the dreaded mirror damper gunk you can get on an old SLR screen.

I intend removing it at the weekend and carefully trying to clean it but I am a realist and realise that a) this may not work or b) I could make it worse.

So - question - does anybody know of any alternative replacement other than importing a split screen Katzeye screen from the US?

You can replace the screen with the genuine Pentax part.
