K-r firmware update

I see that pentax have released a firmware update for the K-r in europe-version 1.01.Anybody know anything about it?

Until it is on the official update sites I wouldn't do it. Same as the update for the K-5 - it is out there but no-one knows what it does or why.

Better to wait until it is official imho.

Well it is official now. The stated improvements are:-


* Compatible with SDXC memory card.
* Transfer rate is not compatible with UHS speed class.
* All ISO sensitivity setting can be used on Bulb mode.
* Improved functional sequence for Contrast AF and improved total speed until in focus.


I have updated my new K-r and it does seem to improve AF under tungsten light.

K-5 Test in Amateur Photographer next week.
