K-7vs K-5

Ok, maybe it's just me, but in what way is the K-7 a better camera than the K-5? Officially the K-7 is the flagship model, but in my mind lags behind the K-5,K-x and K-r in terms of ISO sensitivity and seemingly worse focussing than the K-5. If I were a cynic I might think that Pentax have to say the K-7 is the flagship model simply so they can continue selling them? Unless a major software update is due? ?

The 645D is a very different camera than the K5, no way you can compare those.

About the focus speed, that also really depends on the lens.
It's quite safe to say that the bigger the focus throw the slower the AF will be, but that doesn't have to always be the case though.
Don't know if the SDM effects preformance?

Pentax and other manufacturers have usually numbered better or upgraded models by using a lower number in the name, ie MZ3-5-7-10 etc so the name K5 would suggest Pentax obviously see it as an upgrade.

And before anyone asks I have no Idea why they jumped from K10-20

That was before Hoya took it over I believe, maybe that explains it?
