Screen protectors, (excellent quality), are readily avaible on ebay for almost nothing via Chinese vendors. The glass used is Asahi who are the finest glass manufacturer behind Pilkingtons. They need no more fixing than a simple 'clean' before fixing them to the camera body.

Another vote for the GGS protector - just used one to replace the Innov8 film, which does the job but is not really big enough for the LCD. It was cheaper than the Innov8, fits the LCD perfectly, and much easier to fit (if you keep the screen on while you do it).

I use a ZAGG Invisible shield on my K20 and it is better then most of the cheap alternatives.

Took said "unfit for purpose" item back on Saturday. Seems somehow a 2.5" screen protector had been sealed in the wrong packet. Shop changed it for a 3" one.......not a perfect fit but near enough and will suffice for now.

Has anyone with a glass screen protector tried to remove it after damage (to fit a new one)? I'm a bit concerned that they seem to be a semi-permanent fixing - a plastic sticky thing may not look as good optically, but you can rip it off if its annoying or damaged?
Still shooting in the dark (literally and metaphorically)...

It is a simple 'contact' adesive, which with a 'little bit of patience and common sense' is removed very very easily.

Since the contact is direct most of the force directed on the protection screen is also applied on the LCD-screen it's self.
