K-7 and Paint Shop Pro

I'm having an issue with PSP X2 that when I import a DNG from my K-7 I get black lines to the bottom and right of the image. Is anyone else finding this?

It works fine with JPEGs and doesn't get affected by adjusting the sensor so I'm assuming it's down to PSP not being up to date.

If anyone has time to check you can download a DNG from here (it is quite a large file) and see if it happens with any other software.

Winzip and Winrar both report an error in the zip file

Based on the fact that DNGs on the K-7 seem to be about 20% smaller then DNGs on the K20D I believe that the DNGs from the K-7 are compressed.

I use Faststone (free from www.faststone.org) for browsing, resizing, renaming, adding watermarks and the version I was using 3.2 would not handle the K-7 DNG at all - just showed a black square (DNG from K10D and K20D OK). Upgrading to the lastest version (3.9) solved the problem.

It may be there is an upgrade to the camera codecs for your software which includes handling compressed DNG which would solve your problem.

Otherwise try the free ABOBE RAW converter which should cope with the files.

Sorry, Tiscali up to their usual standards! Paint Shop Pro have done no updates for a while. Really just worried that the camera is faulty, but will assume that as the JPEGs are fine, it is my software.
