Gary,
Can you see any improvement in image quailty between K-5 & the K-5 II,
not just better focus?

I think the only difference is down to the focus accuracy rather than any difference in sensor or firmware.
I have to admit nearly all my shots are keepers now with the better autofocus and there is no more blaming the focus for frustrating use. I am seriously considering getting a second one it really is that good.

A basic test, getting dark outside, no light on in the office, trying to focus on the keyboard of my laptop.
Both bodies set to centre spot focus. On board flash on to test focus accuracy when fired. ISO 800, f/2.8 1/50
mki with DA* 16-50mm hunt back and forth from one extreme to another, would not focus at all.
mkii locked onto the letter N first time, no back n forth hunting, genuinely impressed.
Excuse the dirty keyboard, bit of decorating going on at present...
I have been testing to see if focus speed has improved with Pentax DA* lenses the 16-50 and the 50-135mm and I have to report I cannot see any difference if their is it is very small improvement.
