First day out and about in Clitheroe gave us a feel for the new cameras. And that feel was basically business as usual. No glitches and one or two nice improvements, such as faster access to changing ISO and a perfectly viable but different way of changing exposure compensation.

Bringing the images back home, one plus point is that they now open in Photoshop as 300ppi images and the size is spot on for making an A3 print. Excellent, couldn't be better. Quality will improve because no resizing at all will be needed for competition prints, assuming of course that the full frame is used.

An afterthought. As we climbed up to Clitheroe Castle, I stopped and looked down at the ampitheatre below. The last time i looked at that scene I was using a Pentax MX with SMC Pentax-M 50mm f1.7 lens, Tri-X, and an orange filter.

How's that for memory?

Exciting times, John...as for the memory, just hold on to it as long as you can because it all goes downhill from now on.
The last time I visited Clitheroe Castle, lets see, was it before I married or after, but I know it was in Somerset!!
