K-30 vs K-50 comparison interesting on Pentax website

If you choose the option to compare specifications and look at them side by side Pentax seem to have conveniently left out a lot of the specs that the K-30 has. Now I'm not saying this is deliberate but considering the two are almost identical except for the body design and chassis..........

Yeah I noticed that about a week or so ago when i was doing the comparison myself. It appears to be a common tactic used by manufacturers bringing out models with only small incremental changes. Its a shame that Pentax didn't use the opportunity to be bolder with the K50. Being a small , niche player they have to stand out and get real
'bang for buck' out of every new model or they risk being squeezed from their niche with nowhere left to go. The moment that Canikon extend weather proofing down their product line to their £500 models will be a game changer for Pentax.
