K-3 specs leaked?

Have the K-3 specs been leaked?





The not yet announced Pentax K-3 camera was listed at the official Japanese PPG (Pentax Photo Gallery) website. Those are the rumored Pentax K-3 specifications:

The screen grab seems genuine and it suggests the k3 will be a k5 successor. So not FF! The specs don't come from the same source and may just be educated guesswork though. Seems highly likely the k3 will be similar to the d7100, as suggested.

well that's a waste of time and money mite as well say with k5IIS If it is it could lose a lot of pentax people i do think???

But no ff and 1300 usd will translate to £1300 which is d600 territory good luck with that Pentax...

Absolutely nothing. You've linked to a story from March that didn't happen.

So much for rumours and there's little to get excited about in just another rumour.

I say 'similar' in terms of sensor (size, resolution, dynamic range) which is good, but I'm sure Pentax will offer a few enhancements... But yeh... meh... the K30 is good enough for me and it would take something 'bloody spectacular' to get me to upgrade (i.e. a 35mm sensor :shock

The new D5300 specifications:
•24MP
•39 AF points
•EXPEED 4 (new)
•Built-in Wi-Fi (new)
•Built-in GPS (new)

So the sensor is available at a lower price than the D7100 and with an Expeed 4 processor, the D7100 has an Expeed 3.

Downside is that the D5300 won't be WR so no one will buy one.

Interesting times ahead.

Interesting indeed. Releasing a DSLR without Wifi and GPS now would be totally silly. This is 2013.

Would this be a good time to start a woe is me, I wish I'd waited and I would never have bought a K5II thread???

As much as I'm likely to want one it's really irrelevent to me as I am in no position to buy unless I sacrifice Lenses and since I have a gap in my lenses from 135mm -300mm, I know where the rest of my money must go this year!

I don't want to be an early adopter this time after the K5 problems I had, first one was stained and I got a second under guarantee from SrS, which I later sold here, which allhough checked out before it was sent out to me also turned out to be stained. I didn't find that out unti the buyer told me, nearly died of embarrassment!
I'll allow myself one purchase next year and that will be a K3 or another K5IIs, depending on certain handling/image quality factors relevant to the K3, when and still if it arrives. Also from a weight carrying standpoint whether we end up with a new battery/charger and Grip etc, which I am loath to carry two of...
No intention of buying two.
