Just missed it

I have been trying to capture the moment a butterfly hatches from its cocoon from when I first saw one last year.

I have 4 cocoons on the bush out side my front door and I check them every morning and evening. so you can imagine my dissappiontment when I go in from work yesterday and saw this

1 down 3 to go, Its supposed to have a 7 day gestaion period I noticed them last saturday and its a long weekend for easter, maybe I will get lucky
