OK, shameless bragging and one-upmanship, but just paid my £20.00 deposit as SRS Microsystems. 30 minutes before the official launch. Can't wait for delivery, even if it is a few weeks away.

I was about to buy a K20d (as I still have a K10d and a MZ7), but decided to treat myself.

Although in the interest of frugality I bought the body only. A bit wary of the WR lenses until I see a review. Still loving my Tamron 17-50 f2.8, and can't justify the upgrade.

I have to admit I couldn't resist either

I've pre-ordered the body and grip....

Yes I noticed that one Tel, bit of shame as that will require some extra investment.
However the handy thing is that the grip does take 6xAA as a backup

I really want one. Want more switches-less menus (k100d user).
However yanks are paying $1,300 which is £ 830 at todays rate. Why then is UK price £ 1,200. What am I missing here? Or are our overseas cousins just getting a better deal yet again?
Please tell me to get over it, I really want an upgrade before the wife finds my cash
