Terrific depth of field evident in the beach shots, Nigel. Very effective in drawing the viewer into the scene.
Best wishes,
Andrew

Morning Nigel,
The first one is terrific, superb light and composition, the last one is good, but imo. the log is tooooo close to the bottom of the frame compositionally, it almost acts as a hurdle or barrier you've got to jump before entering the view, prob needs to go north a couple of feet.
I like the effect and DOF your getting form the 14mm Samyang, tempts me to look at either the 10mm or the 14mm for the K1 ?

Thanks Yes Andrew, I went for DOF .....I have a good tried and tested way with the 14mm now, just look at something that's just beyond the foreground interest and get it in focus there, and at F13 it usually works out well in focus right up to the bottom.
Chris, thanks for those points .... Yes, you've just found this lovely beach and you want to run straight on to it but there's this damn log that trips you up right under your feet !
Thanks audio Gajan, glad you saw them. I had to do the forest ones as well, it was just such beautiful light and the beach looked so enticing through the ancient trees.

Agree with all the points raised already, the opening image is terrific and clearly the best image of the bunch
If you're local to this location then I'd return when there is a sunset and the sky has great colour and reshoot it
