ISO setting on K20D

Well I've read the manual - many times - endlessly fiddled with the menu and Fn buttons and I can't see how to do this.

Does anyone know if you can get the ISO below 200? I can get it up to 6400 but can't seem to get it below 200.

Is it me?

Cheers,
Andy

I guess you have to disable the "200% D-Range" function in the Fn menu where you change the ISO settings, you will find a note in the manual that when this enabled the min ISO is 200 (not 100), as well as some threads on pentax forums discussing this function.

Click "Fn" and then push the "Right arrow key on the round knob" to activate the ISO. Then from that menu as you see the line of ISO settings, press again "Fn" and that will disable the 200% D-Range" HDR

If you have "D-range" enabled then you can only go to ISO200.
Press:
Fn, Right, and press Fn again so that "D-range 200%" is NOT showing.

Then you can get ISO100
(It's in the manual )

Does that D-range really help, I don't believe it has much function when you shoot in RAW though or am I wrong?

Stefan, as far as I can tell when shooting RAW it makes no difference.

Well, some tests seems to show that it actually modifies RAW data. Others tends to think it is actually the RAW converter doing something extra when D-range metadata is found in exif.

There are few other interesting discussions on pentaxforums.com regarding this subject.

I believe it does modify RAW data.

What would be interesting is to know whether it does anything you can't do with software in post-processing. I suppose not.

Interesting, well I had only tried this casually a while ago when shooting RAW to see if I could spot a difference. Maybe I'll have to give it another go and look a little closer this time
