These are my first images from this years holiday on the Isle of Skye Scotland. The images are of Neist Point light house not far from Glendale Village. I was so taken by the light that I missed two Minke Whales that momentarily surfaced just behind me.

A lovely set. The last two in particular are delightful.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Very nice, I also like the last two landscapes.
It's the building in the first three that doesn't work for me.

It is always interesting how other people see your images, I quite like the light on the light house but photography is such a subjective thing. Thanks for the comments David & Stefan. I still have another 808 image to wade through, fear not I have no intention of uploading the lot

Indeed the light is beautiful, it's the composition for me.
The building is now really bordered by the rockscape and doesn't have much sky around it, if you took it with a wider lens or further back I think I would have liked it better.

Thanks Stefan, I very nearly purchased a Sigma 10-20mm before going away this year, this would have give me that wider feel. Standing further back was not an option, without diving gear that is .

You could have stitch photos together of course.
I like the second one, if you could have stitch a photo onto it on the right side so you didn't cut the building it might have worked.

What do you think of this?
Added some sky and removed a bit from the bottom, sorry about the colours but I liked the preset

Thanks for that Stefan, I see what you mean by increasing the sky. I am currently trying to improve my basic composition at the moment and have set myself the challenge of no alteration to the composition. I will have a look through the rest of my pictures and see if I have anything near to this.
