Is it worth getting an IR filter???

I fancy having a crack at it!
At the beggining there was nothing....

you will be using very slow shutter speeds , the R72, which is the usual one to start with , is near as dark as a 10 stop ND. Definitely worth a play though :. Youtube is your best place to find info on using it, setting the custom white balance and if you fancy false colour how to do that plus make an IR profile for your camera. Some cameras are better than others , i found the K5 was pretty good when using a Hoya R72 filter. It is all trial and error as some lenses will give hot spots whisch can be a pain to cope with. I was fortunate to get hold of an old converted 1stDL cheap and still using it. Definitely easier. Good luck with your experimenting.
