IR conversion - K100D Super or K7

As I have both the K100D and the K7 lying around and I quite fancy giving IR photography a shot, figured I'd convert either one of the cameras. I can get it done in Poland this summer for 100-120 quid, depending on filter choice; which makes it a rather tempting opportunity.

Since I know very little about IR photography, question is, which camera, and why would be better for it. The small amount of info about the two seems to point K100D over K7 assuming you don't mind focusing headaches; the other way around for the ability to use LV. Naturally, a full spectrum conversion would make more sense with the K7 if I am understanding the focusing issue right? Or is it possible/practical to focus before attaching a filter on?

Will there be a substantial difference in IQ from the two cameras? Are there any other potential issues to consider?

Unconverted the K100d works better than the K7, but that's because of it's weak hot mirror. Conversion removes the hot mirror so the K7 would be significantly better.

It is possible to focus without the filter on & shift as required for the change in focus. It's not too awkward with many older lenses (which have IR marks) but LV is all round easier.
