Intimate seascapes?

Went out today as Storm Dianne was hitting, the winds had picked up and it was high tide. I guess nearly every photographer local to me was in Porthcawl for the lighthouse but I've shot that several times in the past and wanted something different so I popped down to Barrybados to see what it was like there. The sea was pretty gnarly and angry making splash over waves every few minutes but I shot these a bit tighter and closer in. I think Thomas Heaton would call these intimate seascapes?!

All Pentax K1, D FA 28-105mm, 64x ND filter & my rock solid Benro!

I really like this set - No. 1 just shades it for me.

These are great, it's good to see a different take on seascapes, I can't pick a favourite, they are all excellent.

All your recently posted seascapes are very nice. I like this series best, but "intimacy" pertains to all of them (or rather, to how you saw them).

Vnice sets Gareth... particularly like this series, as for me it's the most distinctive (and am rather partial to an intimate seascape myself)... super light, particularly in the colour shots 1 and 3... and the solid rock vs moving sea gives it an almost directional focus/tilt/shift effect...

Best
