I suspect a gxr module with k-mount is the easiest way to accomplish said goal.. they just take the Lieca module and swap in a kmount.

Does that fill a gap in the market?

for pentax it does..
but in the larger sense... I suspect IF Pentax had an aps-c evil in development, Ricoh/Pentax might just be tempted to release that or modify it to a 24 x36 sensor in an evil class cam....
