Interesting development for Pentax Lenses and Sony bodies

I was reading about this yesterday, it doesn't support DC/SDM lenses yet but they are saying it will in the future via a firmware update.
Must say I would find it slightly ironic if the Sony focused faster with a Pentax lens than an actual Pentax body, already it seems it can use all focus points and eye tracking on a sony.

Could be of interest to those of us with a substantial investment in lenses. Hopefully not required after the K3 iii is launched!

I'm certainly keen to try it, getting my huge range of Pentax lenses autofocusing on an IR converted body will be nice. Somewhat typical that i hear about it just 2 days after recieving a DA-nex adapter that will have no use once this new one is in my hands.

I’m also very intrigued by this. Looks like a very interesting development.
Looking forward to hearing updates about how capable (or not) the focus is.
