A good point at the end about a resurgence in film use, though I suspect that this effect is often over-estimated on photography sites.

I had a look at that article and could not work out why people would want to apply a 'filter' in order to make generally poor photographs even worse

I like the effect of many of the isntagrams pics, but the novelty has worn off now. it used to make some people's pics stand out. Now everyone is using it that isn't the case anymore

I have taken more photographs with Hipstamatic (I've bought all the lens and film packs as well as the darkroom) than I have with my Pentaxes so far this year.
