Would a modern brand new design have such a small rear screen??

I would simply like to see a 24-25ish megapixel FF sensor in pretty much the K3 body perhaps a tad bigger and the only extra feature I would want are user selectable crop modes in several increments ie 1.1x, 1.2x, 1.3x, 1.4x and 1.5x modes. I ask of this because some current lenses have image circles bigger than APS-C but not as big as FF like the 50-135mm and 60-250mm so people can select the appropriate crop mode to fully take advantage of their lenses.

If it doesn't cost very much then I hope Ricoh also throw in 4K video in the 1.5x crop mode which will be a full pixel read out eliminating moire and aliasing. I know some people might not need this but I'm just saying Ricoh should add it if it doesn't add too much to the price to stay competitive.

That body design was the original Pentax full frame dslr, which was nearly released before the istD. It wasn't released in the end, and it wasn't called the K1 either at the time. Can't remember its name.

It does have almost retro overtones ... kind of styled like cameras from the late 90's, so that makes perfect sense Will. The shots together with the Q look 'blended' .
