Been using LR4 with my K5 DNG raw images for a week or two now. TBH I'm not sure I like (or possibly am not yet used to) the new develop module / process engine. I tend to process mostly sunlit / highish contrast landscapes, and I'd got very used to PV2010 (which I thought was a major advance over PV2003). 2010 has fewer sliders, and offers coarser control than 2012, but somehow the effect seemed more "holistic".
Created virtual copies of a couple of images and processed 1 copy in 2010 and 1 in 2012. Prefer the 2010 engine "look".
The new PV2012 engine has an overall exposure slider and then 4 sliders for shadows / highlights / whites / blacks. Somehow doesn't feel right - not yet convinced by PV2012 - I probably just need to persevere.
Any other thoughts? Anyone found any LR4 develop module tutorials for Landscapes?
Cheers
Paul
