Hello hoping someone can help. I,m using Coral Paintshop Pro X8 and when I open A PEF (raw) file it is creating a black line on 1 short edge of image. I have no idea why and am wondering if anyone here has had the same issue and can it be resolved. Examples below.

Looks like padding out of the image to canvas size. Have you got it set to more pixels than the camera size. Also DNG is usually handled better than PEF by a lot of programs.

EDIT: K-3 Spec gives frame size :6016x4000
Your Exif gives 6080x4032

Somethings not right?

I think it might have something to do with the demosaic algorithm and the 'binned' sections on the sensor. The actual sensor is 6064 x 4016 sub-pixels. The output RAW file is 6016*4000. The same sensor on the K-70 outputs 6000 x 4000. I think when the software is doing it's thing it is incorrectly trying to output sections of the sensor that are not used by the camera.

It is not a fault with your camera though. Just a minor software bug. Crop the images and it'll be fine.

Cheers guys I just needed to set the picture template pixels to the sensor size and that`s got it. I will try DNG files instead too
