Hi,

I stumbled across this while out on the interweb..

http://pippin.gimp.org/image_processing/image_processing.html#id2523005

Quote:
The text presumes that the reader is able to understand code to a certain extent, and that the combination of the code showing the actual logical steps involved combined with a basic introduction to the same procedure in english will provide an understanding of what is happening to the image data and why the algorithms yield the output images they do.
Thought it might be useful for someone wanting to know more about the nuts and bolts of how image processors work..

Cheers

Liam

Very useful link - thanks

Lua is one of the languages I use regularly... didn't realise it's available for Gimp. Pretty neat!
